The python fell onto the bathroom floor with a loud thud before scurrying to hide behind a washing machine. It was strong enough to push the heavy appliance aside as it struggled. Civil Defence Force (APM) senior officer Sergeant Zaiton Mohamed Ali, 56, who led the operation, said the reptile's girth made it appear "almost like an anaconda", and it was one of the largest she had encountered in her 18 years of service. She said the team had previously responded to a call at the same house about three months ago, but failed to locate the snake after it retreated up to the ceiling. "Only this time, when we removed a section of the ceiling, it fell straight to the floor," she said.
