#ASPIRASI CIVIL DEFENCE STUDENT PROGRAMME A STRATEGIC PLATFORM TO DEVELOP DISCIPLINED, EMERGENCY-READY GRADS, SAYS DEPUTY MINISTER KOTA SAMARAHAN (July 18): The Civil Defence Student Programme (SISPA) continues to serve as a strategic platform for producing graduates who not only excel academically but are also equipped with strong discipline and emergency management skills, said Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang. She said the programme is part of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force’s (APM) continuous efforts to cultivate volunteerism at all levels of society while preparing young people to respond effectively to emergencies. “The community engagement programme is implemented comprehensively, beginning at the primary and secondary school levels, institutions of higher learning, districts, divisions, states and up to the national level to increase public participation in the APM,” she told reporters after officiating at the SISPA Commissioning Ceremony at the University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) here.
