#ASPIRASI APM UNVEILS CENTENARY BLUEPRINT TO STRENGTHEN NATIONWIDE DISASTER READINESS KUCHING : Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) has unveiled its centenary blueprint, outlining plans to strengthen service delivery nationwide, including in Sarawak. APM Chief Commissioner Mohammad Abiddin Abd Rahman said the blueprint focuses on key areas such as manpower, training efficiency, data integration and asset requirements. “Disasters are unpredictable, but in terms of readiness, we must continuously prepare ourselves to face any eventuality and assess the level of preparedness we currently have,” he said when met by reporters after officiating at the ‘Perhimpunan Setia’ and APM Sarawak Appointment Letters and Rank Insignia presentation ceremony at the Sarawak Civil Defence Complex (PUSPA) here.. On the programme, he said it was aimed at motivating APM personnel in Sarawak, while also identifying challenges on the ground and aligning operational needs across the state. Mohammad Abiddin added that APM is also standardising its rank structure, following a decision made earlier this year. “The plan has been approved by our committee to streamline and standardise the wearing of ranks among APM personnel, ensuring greater uniformity and order across the organisation,” he said.
