#BILIKGERAKAN WENT TO MOVE COWS, ENDED UP MOVING A CROCODILE BATU PAHAT: Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel battled for 45 minutes to capture a female crocodile found nesting near a village road in Kampung Pedada Kuning on Wednesday morning. Sergeant (PA) Mayassan Mansor of the APM Batu Pahat said the crocodile, measuring about three metres in length, was caught at around 8.45am after it was spotted by a 59-year-old cattle breeder. "The man was attempting to move his livestock when he was shocked to see the crocodile resting there. He immediately contacted APM, and we rushed to the scene with assistance from the Wildlife and National Parks Department (PERHILITAN)," he said. Mayassan said the operation proved challenging as the reptile was aggressive and appeared to be nesting in the area. "The crocodile tried to escape through a nearby small drain, but the quick action of APM and Perhilitan personnel allowed us to subdue it. We managed to calm the reptile by covering its eyes with a cloth," he added.
